Having a fifth Sunday in the month gives us a great opportunity of doing something a little different, so last Sunday we joined with our brothers and sisters at the Uniting Church in Nambucca Heads to worship and give thanks to the Lord. It was great to spend time getting to know each other little more. Our hosts provided us with some rousing renditions of Wesley’s hymns, which brought back many a memory. It was also an opportunity to experience a different form of worship outside of the traditional Anglican liturgical style. It was wonderful to see how the Lord had been working through this gathering where the message, the songs and prayers all linked in unison to the belief that the Lord is in control and we need to listen to what He is saying rather than presuming to know His will. Our churches are seeking to listen as we endeavour to be God’s people here in valley. We have invited members of the Uniting Church to join with us in our various fellowship events. We hope to gather again in the near future.
