The Anglican Parish of Nambucca Heads welcomes enquiries regarding weddings, baptisms and funerals at both St John the Baptist Church, Nambucca Heads and St James Church, Bowraville.

"Then Peter said to them, Repent (turn from your sins) and be baptised in the Name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins..."  Acts 10:38

Baptism is an essential part of your walk with Jesus.  As He was baptised by John, so we are commanded also to be baptised.  We encourage you to ask Jesus to forgive you for the wrong you have done, turn from your sins and be baptised as we are commanded.  If you have any questions regarding how to do this, please contact the office and we would be delighted to lead you to the path of Jesus.

BAPTISM can be held at either St John the Baptist, Nambucca or St James, Bowraville.  It can be held either during or after a service.

For a full immersion option, contact the Church Office  to discuss the next steps.

Wedding Jesus said “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh”? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.’ Matthew 19:6

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2a "Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses.  He sets the time for birth and the time for death.."

Losing a loved one is never easy and making decisions can be difficult.  We work in conjunction with various funeral services to help you prepare and organise your loved one's funeral. Regarding venues, you have a choice of either of our Anglican churches - St John the Baptist, Nambucca or St James, Bowraville.  Alternatively, one of our ministers can conduct the service at one of the funeral chapels.

Please contact the office to discuss your options.

The flip side to life is death.  It is a part and a fact of life that we cannot get away from.  There is a saying "life - no one gets out alive!"  As Christians, we believe that we have the knowledge and hope that once we die, we go heaven to spend eternity with God.  Do you have that assurance?  If you have questions regarding your place in eternity, please don't hesitate to contact us!
